1840 Business Directory

Villages of Watertown, Juhelville and Pamelia
Jefferson County, New York

1840 Business DirectoryThe 1840 Business Directory encompasses the three villages of Watertown, Juhelville, and Pamelia.

The Village of Juhelville is the portion of the City of Watertown that is bounded by Factory Square, Eastern Blvd. and the Black River. Generally it was the area along Huntington Street.

The Village of Pamelia is the portion of the City of Watertown that is generally along West Main Street from roughly Leray Street extending towards Glen Park.

There are two methods to search the directory:
- You may search by first and last name or portions thereof; or
- View all records beginning with the first letter of the surname.

The second method is actually easiest since there are only 753 names in the directory.

Regardless of the search method, the results are sorted by surname and first name.

Note: there are no listings for surnames beginning with either the letter X or Z.
